Over the course of five days, the young participants not only descended into the depths of the cave but also learned caving skills, teamwork, and nature research. They practiced handling equipment, navigating in the dark, recording observations in journals, and even tried their hand at underground photography and videography.
Each day was full of discoveries: from exploring geological formations and crystals to team-building activities and lectures about the Podilski Tovtry. For many students, this expedition was their first real underground adventure and an unforgettable experience that could inspire a passion for science, tourism, or personal exploration.
The project was implemented by the NGO “Cultural and Educational Platform ‘Code of the Nation’” and the NGO “Atlantyda Speleoclub”, in partnership with the Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park and the Zhvanyetska Village Council.
The expedition was supported by the Askold & Dir Foundation, administered by ISAR Ednannia, under the program “Strong Civil Society of Ukraine — the Driving Force of Reforms and Democracy”, funded by the governments of Norway and Sweden.
These five days were not just about the cave, lanterns, and crystals. They were a story of self-discovery, teamwork, and connection with one’s homeland. And, of course, a story of wonder and excitement that will remain forever in the hearts of these young explorers! 🌌🦇
