Youth Club for Social Support

What We Do

In 2023–2024, the project in Khmelnytskyi reached over 1,000 children and adolescents among internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Within the club, art therapy, educational, and integration activities were implemented, combining creativity, learning, teamwork, and live social interaction.

Why We Do It

The goal of working with displaced adolescents is to help them adapt to a new social environment, restore a sense of safety, support emotional well-being, and foster an active life position in conditions of war and constant change.

We aim for every child to feel valued, recognize their own potential, and have the opportunity to build a future within their community.

Our Approach

Our work with adolescents is based on the following principles:

Safety and trust — creating a supportive space without pressure or judgment;

Interactivity and creativity — learning and development through action, play, and creative expression;

Integration — involving adolescents in community life and peer interaction;

Emotional resilience — fostering coping skills through art therapy, group activities, and shared experiences.

Who We Work With

Participants include:

• children and adolescents among internally displaced persons;

• adolescents who have experienced the loss of home, familiar environments, and social connections;

• youth who need support in adaptation and self-realization.

Results and Impact

Thanks to the club’s activities:

• over 1,000 adolescents gained access to a safe and supportive space;

• participants improved social, communication, and creative skills;

• emotional resilience and the ability to cope with stress were strengthened;

• adolescents became more actively involved in community life and teamwork.

The SviTy Club has become more than just a place for activities — it is a community where young people find support, friends, and belief in themselves.
